About/Contact

Welcome to the About/Contact page of Wave Pool Weather.

How and Why:

I created this site with the goal of providing accurate water temperature forecasts for wave pools around the world, beginning with Waco. This is convient because the weather in Texas can change quickly and figuring out what equipment you need to bring can be difficult because the water temperature usually does not match the air temperature. One can make an approximation of today's water temperature by making a simple calculation involving the local air temperature from the previous two days. This site automatically fetches the required data and makes the calculations needed while keeping track of the previously fetched data so there's no need to look at historical records. The last task for site completion is to add climatology, wind forecasts, celsius, operational statuses, and load balancing.

If you have any questions, feedback, or would like to get in touch, please feel free to contact me directly through the provided contact details.

About Me:

I'm a master's student at Texas A&M and Data Analyst at Flood Information Systems who is eager to apply exceptional programming skills and research experience to solve geoscience problems. I currently work under Dr. Istvan Szunyogh in the Atmospheric Science Department researching the application of machine learning to numerical weather prediction and data assimilation. In my free time, I enjoy surfing, fly fishing, and building personal coding projects like this one. I am currently looking for a full-time position to apply my skills.
